Arne Van Petegem’s outfit “Styrofoam”, perhaps Belgiums greatest claim to fame yet, is prepping himself for his third tour of the mighty US of A, which kicks off tomorrow, and this time he’s enlisted a little help. “Alias”, a contributing band in Styrofoams first album “Nothing’s Lost”, will be opening the gig. Unfortunately the other major names in glitch-pop that made it onto “Nothing’s Lost” extensive guest-list, including Ben Gibbard and Andrew Kenny, more than likely won’t be putting in appearances.
British outfit, Belle and Sebastien, have announced a forthcoming UK tour to support their latest album “The Life Pursuit”. The album’s expected a release on February 6th and will carry some meaty titles, including “Song For Sunshine”; “Funny Little Frog”; “A White Collared Boy” and “Sukie In The Graveyard”. There’s plenty of media attention over the next coupla days to, BBC2 Scotland will be screening a performance between 11:35 and 2:05; Chris Geddes (keyboardist) will be hitting the decks tomorrow at the “Burn Your Books” party at Manchesters “Night and Day Café” and “In Memory Of My Father”, Chris Jaymes’ new film, opens in Los Angeles featuring several songs from “The Life Pursuit”.
