Sigur Ros. They don’t need the press, but I love this band enough that I’ll put them up here any way. They have a TON of downloadable tracks on their site- enough to fill up an entire cd with, and more. You should go listen and download- you’ll feel mellower, and mellower is always better in this hyperactive, permanently sped-up world we live in.
Especially listen to “Von” and “Untitled Number 8 from ()“. They’re both amazing beyond Sigur Ros’s usual amazingness.

You’re right – they’re absolutely brilliant. Worked in a record shop around the time Takk… (their latest work) was released. Worked wonders for a ton of people, from stressed/spaced out folks and even some getting over the death of a loved one.
