“Raditude.” The first thing that jumps into my head when I hear that is a failed hair-metal band from the 80’s, trying to make a comeback. I couldn’t be further from the true meaning. When Rivers Cuomo was searching for a name for Weezer’s upcoming album, he went to his friend Rainn Wilson. It has been reported that both songs that came out earlier this summer, “I’m Your Daddy” and “The Girl Got Hot,” will both be on the album, which seems like they will fit well with a name like Raditude. Raditude will be released on October 27th, carrying a sponsorship from Schrute Beets and Dunder-Mifflin Paper Co.

Weezer is a great band, but this is a little too soon. The masses need time to absorb “The Red Album” and what that has to offer. So this “Raditude” LP better be a darn good album, given the fact it’s been less than a year since their sixth album has been released.
