I have some bad news for all of you Bloc Party fans out there. Matt Tong, the drummer recently suffered from his lung collapsing, while playing the drums at an earlier performance. He was doing alright, but according to a recent press release, “he’s on the road to recovery, but doctors have advised that he not travel or play again for another few weeks in order to give his lung time to properly heal.” With that being said, the North America tour is now canceled.

Bloc party also said: “We would like to apologize to all of our fans here who won’t be able to see us on this tour. We were looking forward to playing in a number of American cities that we’ve never been to before, however, Matt’s health is our number one priority right now.”

For anyone who has bought a ticket to one of their shows, the ticket that have been sold will be refunded by the place where you originally purchased them.
