The Smith Westerns are a fairly new band who have been putting out some more-than-fairly good music. Gorilla vs. Bear has already credited their debut album, “The Smith Westerns,” with the number 3 spot in their working list of the Best Albums of 2009. The big song from that album is titled “Be My Girl,” which sounds like a love song straight from the ’70s, something that I really enjoyed about it. The vocal track also sounds similar to that of MGMT’s “Weekend Wars.” You can listen to it below. The Smith Westerns’ newest song sounds just as good as their previous work, and it is titled “Imagine, pt. 3.” It has a very relaxed, mellow sound, and feels like it belongs in a montage of various people bicycling.
