Michael Baker

Michael Baker is not a songwriter- he’s a composer. If you listen to his compositions, they’re much more than just songs- their complexity propels them beyond mere modern terms. These are intricate, difficult songs that could’ve been written 80 years ago just as easily as today- from the keytastic jazz of “Blue Evening” to the passionately moving “Your Words are Music to My Ears” to the beautiful, innocent washes of sound in “Redemption”. These songs are stunning in their depth and scope- an extremely promising start from an artist with great possibilities.

Check the end of “Redemption” for the best of Michael Baker, although all three tracks are jaw-dropping in their own ways.
