Canadian alt-metal/punk band Inner Surge is making a lot of moves in early 2006- they’re filming a video for their new track “Retribution Song”, inking a deal with Cyclone Records to release their new album Signals Screaming, and having music featured in the independent movie “Cabras”. The movie is actually a combination movie and music video compilation- a unique, very interesting concept. I like it. Here’s to hoping that Inner Surge’s SOAD-like metal goes far.

Band: Amateur Photography is an ambient rock band that blows my mind. I don’t know why their ambient rock stands out on top of other bands, but for some reason, they epitomize the genre for me. Very beautiful, complex, and interesting stuff. Great to chill to, or to drive to. It’s just incredible. Hear their amazing compositions here.
