Just found a band named Immanu-el. not Immanuel- Immanu-el. Threw me for a loop first time I saw it.

But they’re from Sweden, and they play some ethereal, dark, spacious indie-rock that reminds me a little of Sigur Ros. Immanu-el is way more personable than Sigur Ros, partly because their vocalist has a lower pitch and he sounds more….well…human, and the second is that Immanu-el’s intramember chemistry is amazing. These songs are beautiful, beautiful, beautiful- a joy to hear.
