I’ve probably talked about For the Mathematics before, but just in case I haven’t, I’m doing it again. I love this band because it’s the spazziest goodness I’ve heard since At the Drive-In, and I’ve heard a lot of spazzy junk. The great thing about FtM is that they actually have method in their madness- even though every part of the sound is moving in a different direction at once, the sound stays together, and it never gets out of hand. The vocalist sounds like he’s about to explode, all the time- and that’s definitely a good thing in my book. If you’re up for some frenetic, chaotic music to excite you, For the Mathematics is your band. But if you’re listening late at night, you may want to turn down your speakers a bit. “RedLightExitSignPastiche” is my favorite at their pv….
