I’ve been mellow lately. I’ve been needing to relax, so it was time to turn down the punk and loud indie knob and turn up the mellow knob. I’ve really been enjoying a track called “Time” by Fadeout.

Fadeout is from Greece (I love international bands) and they are great. Their sound is trip-hop to me, but I’ve never been sure what all that entails, so it may not be trip-hop to you. I hear some fastish drums and a deep, mellow groove propelled by very nice bass contributions. The guitars are heavily reverbed, spacey, and mysterious. The female vocalist has a large range and a non-invasive tone, so she fits perfectly in the mix. Their chemistry is great- they’re just a stellar mellow band.
