Earlier this summer, Devandra Banhart left his label XL. Word came out today that he has now signed with Warner/Reprise, and will be releasing his new album in October. The album’s name is oddly spaced, for reasons that we still don’t know. It will be called

This title is not the only area in which Banhart reaches for what is odd or different, as seen in the video for “Carmensita,” which is featured on his previous album “Smokey Rolls Down Thunder Canyon.” You can view this video below.

I’ve always been a big fan of Devandra Banhart. He’s sure an interesting guy.
