Today I was browsing around the internet in search of some new music to add to my library. Lo and behold I came upon Afternoon Naps. As a siesta or as a band, it could only mean one thing: good stuff. I looked into it and arrived at the conclusion that this band is fantastic AND they had recently released a new album, “Parade”. The band has a very lighthearted, mellow feel to it, and you can tell they were influenced by The Smiths through their acoustics; “lightly strummed guitar”, as my fellow writer David so eloquently put it. They also remind me of the group Voxtrot, with similar vocals and summery feel. You should definitely check them out!
