After giving it a lot of thought (about 5 minutes down the pub) we’ve decided to start a regular indieanthems.com podcast hosted by myself and future blogger of indieanthems.com, Chris Tanner. You’ll hear more from Chris in the coming weeks when he starts writing for the website so I won’t talk about him to much in here, suffice to say he knows his shit when it comes to music. He also has experience with music writing and journalism in general.
We will be releasing a new podcast every Wednesday from now on and if it proves to be popular we might start doing it more often. Please let us know what you thought of it so we can make it better.
Anyway, we had a lot of fun making this podcast. Please download it and let us know what you think.

Sounds great to me, I’ll have to check it out…
What did you think Jacob? We should be recording a new one in a few days, that’ll be much better.
Great stuff. Not the best to listen to at 5.23am as it keeps getting louder and quieter but sounds great so far, I’ll have a listen properly tomorrow.
I don’t believe the website has been neglected, Stephen has done a fan-tabulous job at keeping it fresh with content, except when he went on vacation.
Not sure who this new guy is, but the site will miss Stephen, to the point that I might stop reading.. bah
Jon, you got some work to do mate..
Thanks guys, I thoroughly enjoyed the show on my way to work the other day. I especially enjoyed the electro track by “the knife”, hadn’t heard that one. Here in Tennessee it’s not so easy to hear new indie labels except through the internet, thanks again!
Loving the cast, keep up the “bangin’ choons”!
Keep it up lets have regular podcasts. They’re decent.
Interesting idea, but where exactly is the “indie” pretty much all the songs and bands mentioned are on labels connected to the RIAA. I’m not sure how talking about songs heard on Sony tv adverts is that “indie” either.
Then, to top it off the only album listed under “New Releases” is Vertigo.. by U2 probably one of the biggest bands in the world!
It was fun to listen to, and you clearly enjoy your music i just hope we can look forward to some true independent spirit in the future.
well, i liked it
obviously the contribution from tanner is what made it so truly listenable
though he neglected to credit me for introducing him to the knife in the first place….
put the second one up jon, ive heard great things about it from chris
